Drinking with Your Partner Is the Key to A Lasting Relationship

Gentlemen, it's no secret how much we enjoy drinking with friends; going out for a few beers, talking about life, laughing for nonsense is what makes a man happy after a long week of work.

This activity could be more profitable if, from time to time, you invite your partner, because it is proven that couples who drink together, stay together for longer, now we explain why.

Being Single Is More Dangerous in Men than Obesity, It Will Kill You Faster

In reality it is simple, and you can notice it at any time, sharing a few drinks together is a sign of good communication and trust between the two, because it means taking care of each other, living together and respecting each other. I do not say it, science says it.

A study published in the journals of gerontology and psychology sciences, mentions that, for couples over 50 years, marital relationships were better when both drank or both were abstainers. On the other hand, if one of the two drank more than the other, in most cases they experienced problems in the relationship, especially if the one who drank the most was the woman, because that often indicated that they were not satisfied with their marriages.

To obtain the results, 3 thousand people who had been married for approximately 33 years were surveyed. The survey revolved around their drinking habits; how often they did it and how much they consumed. After gathering this information, they were asked if they felt their partner was irritating or demanding.

The results finally showed that in more than half of the couples surveyed, both parties drank, and it was just those couples who seemed to maintain a healthy and stable relationship compared to couples with unequal alcohol consumption. The same happened with the couples of abstainers.

Mind you, this does not mean that an abstemious person should take in order to save their marriage, no, nor is it intended to encourage people with alcohol problems to continue drinking and insist that their partners do so. Simply, what the study tries to make us see is that a healthy coexistence between partners can lead to a relationship that is bearable and, therefore, durable.

So, if you want your relationship to be stronger, maybe it's time to invite your wife to have a drink, either alone or with friends, look for compatibility in drinking is equal, is not about drunk and crash.

And yes, men, this is advice that science and we give them. They will tell us how everything works.
